Trésor and Pascal are two brothers and they used to live in Bujumbura streets. In August, FVS-AMADE BURUNDI welcomed them in its transit center. They met other children who were still attracted by the freedom they had back in the streets. But the brothers really wanted to reunite with their parents and the boys didn't follow their roomates when they run away. Soon after, the organization's social assistant retrieved the boys parent in Buterere, a neighborhood near Bujumbura main dumpsite.

But both parents were in delinquency and lived in extreme poverty. They were selling some objects they were collecting in the dumpsite and they were squatting in a construction site. At that time, there was no way FVS-AMADE BURUNDI could let the two boys with their parents. Trésor and Bigirimana reintegrated the transit center while the social assistant was starting a social mediation.

With the help of local administration and neighbors, the parents were sensitized to be responsible parents. FVS-AMADE BURUNDI helped them to rent a house and offered a starting package. Now, the boys' parents are receiving counseling sessions. The father gets gardening jobs and the mother cultivates and sells vegetables. Trésor and Pascal has received school kits and they are going to school. When the two boys saw what was in their reinsertion package, Trésor says: "God, I am in love with this!"
